【环球网报道】据美国《纽约邮报》5月12日报道，当地时间11日，一名纽约市警察局高级警官在试图驱散曼哈顿大桥上支持巴勒斯坦的抗议者时，不慎将制暴喷雾喷到了自己的脸上，这一幕也被拍了下来。

报道称，现场画面显示，麦卡锡身穿白色警察制服，事故发生后，可以看到其他几名警察在照顾他的伤势，将水倒在他的脸上。纽约警察局发言人12日告诉《纽约邮报》，周六晚间的示威活动中约有150人被捕。不过，纽约警察局没有立即回复该媒体就麦卡锡喷到自己一事的置评请求。
